Xenon Compact Arc Lamps
Xenon compact arc lamps are high pressure gas discharge lamps filled with several atmospheres of xenon gas. When started, xenon lamps reach 80% of final output in less than 10 minutes.

[Note: Higher wattage xenon lamps do not always yield a higher light intensity. If you need higher illumination intensity, select a lamp with greater brightness, which doesn’t necessarily increase with lamp watts.] Xenon compact arc lamps are designed for better arc stability and longer lamp life. This is because like most compact arc lamps, xenon lamps are designed for DC operation.

Xenon lamps come in wattages from 75 to 30,000 watts and are available for operation in a vertical or horizontal position. For smaller lamps, the breakdown voltage between electrodes will run from 10kv to 60kv or more for 30kw rate lamps.
