How to Perform a Fiber Optic Cable Visual Inspection For Network Data Cables OnlyTo make sure the fibers are not broken use a
visible light "fiber optic tracer" or "pocket visual fault locater"
to trace a path from fiber end to end. For Endoscopic Systems A light measurement device know as an integrating sphere will provide the most accurate results. It measures light output from the light source, the fiber optic light cables and endoscopes. Radiometers and Photometers can also be used to measure luminous radiation. Note: Use extreme caution when inspecting medical and industrial fiber optic cables.
